Overview

Lab is the teacher hub for building and running class activities. Choose the right tool for the task — planning and reflective journalling, Socratic Q&A, long-form drafting, match-ups, live judging, or Arcade game design. Across the Suite, students practise the human–AI–human cycle: analyse, evaluate, decide, then go again.

Key features

  • One class, many activity types

Set up Trace, Spark, Flux, Latch, Jury, or Arcade activities from a single class workspace.

  • Socrates feedback

Student-facing coaches guide thinking in the moment rather than handing out answers.

  • Human–AI–human practice

Creative and critical loops — especially visible in Arcade — where students analyse, evaluate, decide, and iterate with AI as a partner, not a substitute.

  • Teacher visibility

See who has started, who needs a nudge, and how students are progressing across activities.

  • Built for authentic work

Activities are designed around genuine student thinking, drafting, and reflection — not checkbox completion.

Apps inside Lab

Lab brings these activity types together under one class hub.

  • Echo

Short daily revision — quick multiple-choice packs from today’s lesson.

  • Spark

Interactive Socrates Q&A that builds critical thinking through guided dialogue.

  • Flux

Long-form drafting with contextual, real-time feedback on argument and structure.

  • Foundry

Formative diagnostics and skill pathways — find gaps and close them with Socrates.

  • Trace

Structured reflective learning with mentor agreements and growth over time.

  • Arcade

Practise the human–AI–human cycle through game-building — then judge with Jury and play winners in Playground.

  • Jury

Live judging with private scoring and projected leaderboards for class events.

  • Latch

Match-up and categorise tasks — shot listing, sorting, and drag-and-drop rows.

How it works

  1. Open your class

Sign in and select the class you are teaching.

  2. Create an activity

Pick Trace, Spark, Flux, Latch, Jury, or Arcade and configure the task.

  3. Students work in the app

Learners open the activity from their class hub and submit as they go.

  4. Review and respond

Use teacher views to monitor progress, coach, and close the loop.
